  George Morris calls Grande Saber the “Most improved jumper” of his stable two months after joining Hunterdon. Grand Prix Rider Chris Kappler adds “Saber is a scopey and careful jumper. I’ve never ridden a horse that attracts so much attention!”  In 1999 Saber is taking top honors 3rd of 170 jumpers at Wellington.

  Grande Saber is the Champion producing like a Champion. Hailed as an “Obvious Choice” as a Dressage at Devon Champion, Grande Saber’s career has spanned the full spectrum of the equestrian experience.  Shown in top ribbons as a hunter on the line, Saber won stallion approval at 26 months. His early training in dressage has aided his rise as a talented and successful jumper.

  Saber’s brilliance and personality is faithfully passed to his elegant foals noted for their presence, lovely ,correct types and exceptional movement . He is sire of popular offspring taking multiple champion titles in dressage, hunter, breeding, studbook inspections, national futurities and undersaddle classes.  Grande Saber is a leading producer of premium Oldenburg foals.  Grande Saber's daughters Gracelyn was High Score Mare  & Grand Champion of her inspection in Wellington Florida at 2!. His test foal, Grande Celeste, captured prestigious championships including Dressage at Devon, PVDA and Lexington. At 4, she claimed 1998 Grand Champion PVDA, USDF Region 1 Champion 1st level and Ljunquist Memorial  Reserve Champion!  In 1998 his test hunter, Grande Affair, won Devon, Upperville, Middleburg , International Hunter Futurity and a second PHR Silver Stirrup Award.

  Grande Saber is by Grundstein out of Can’t Act - Dutch and Wesphalian Approved Thoroughbred mare. Her pedigree boasts Nasrullah, Mahmoud, Hyperion, Wyndham and Polyneasian all classic sires of turf, racing, and steeplechase lines.  In the German FN index  Grundstein was #1 in dressage  rating 178 and third with 142 in jumping. Champion ancestry of Grundstein’s sire line includes Grande, Gotthard Graphit and Sermon producing world class champions Gigilo,Gifted and Graf George.
